1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work the same way. We use them sparingly — today WEB-AUDIT relies mainly on strictly-necessary cookies, and you do not need an account to run a scan.
2. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the service running and secure (e.g. load balancing, abuse prevention, remembering your consent choice). | Always on |
| Preferences | Remember choices such as language or UI settings so the site behaves the way you expect. | Optional |
| Analytics | Help us understand aggregate, anonymized usage so we can improve the product. Not used to identify you. | Optional |
3. Managing your choices
Where required (including in the EU/EEA and Canada), we ask for your consent before setting optional cookies, and you can change your mind at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — note that disabling strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the service.
4. Third parties
We run our own scanning engine and avoid unnecessary third-party trackers. If we add an analytics or infrastructure provider that sets cookies, we will list it here and reflect it in our consent controls.
